Robin Hood pub road drainage- Success!

We’re delighted to announce that Cardiff Council have carried out drainage works between the Robin Hood pub and the bottom of Severn Grove. The large pool of standing water which has been there for years will hopefully become a distant memory! The Council’s contractors lowered the carriageway by the lime tree and installed two new gullies. Our volunteer team worked closely with the Council by bollarding off the works area beforehand and leafletting adjacent residents and the pub. This project was one of the major priorities listed in our action plan report to the Council back in November 2024. Thanks go to the Council’s flood risk team and to our volunteers- fine work! To function well the gullies and gutters need to be kept clear of leaves and other detritus. We hope the adjacent property owners will ‘adopt’ and care for them either side of the Big Sweep.
